Music at St Andrew’s
We enjoy a range of music at St Andrews, although there is a preference for a less formal style of worship with our music group and drums, keyboard and guitar.
We have an organ (located above the choir stalls in the chancel) which is of national historic importance. It is one of only 2 or 3 in the country with 4 manuals (keyboards). The organ is used about twice a month in our Sunday worship.
We have a grand piano which is often played in preference to the organ as it is nearer the congregation and provides a more immediate sound.
Our musicians meet to practice and pray together during the week.
We would welcome new members, particularly female singers. Further details from the Church Office.
All our musicians are volunteers.
