Music at St Andrew’s
We enjoy a range of music at St Andrew’s, although there is a preference for a less formal style of worship with our music group.
We have an organ (located above the choir stalls in the chancel) which is of national historic importance. It is one of only 2 or 3 in the country with 4 manuals (keyboards). However we do not currently have an organist.
We have a grand piano which is often played in preference to the organ as it is nearer the congregation and provides a more immediate sound.
Our musicians meet to practice and pray together during the week when required.
We would welcome new members, particularly singers. Further details from the Church Office.
All our musicians are volunteers.
